Lord Sharanabasaveshwar, the great saint and sage, who lived around 200 years ago performing many miracles for the good of the people. He saw God in human soul and in all creatures of the Almighty. There are more than 1000 temples of Lord Sharanabasaveshwar in many parts of the region and on his Punyatithi nearly 10 lakh people gather at Gulbarga at a time to have the darshan of the great saint.
